New Playground in Sumner Park

BUILD DAY A HUGE SUCCESS!

On Thursday, October 27th, Historic Conley Hills, along with Frog Hollow and Semmes Park, and the city of East Point built a new playground in Sumner Park thanks to The Home Depot, Joe Gibbs Racing and the nonprofit organization KaBOOM!.  In addition to providing financial support for the project, more than 160 associates volunteered from local The Home Depot stores to help build the playground alongside community residents.  The racing-themed playground is one of ten Racing to Play playgrounds built this year by The Home Depot, Joe Gibbs Racing and KaBOOM! in NASCAR race communities nationwide.

Opening Day Gallery Sunday, October 30 marked the first day that the playground was open for play. Children from surrounding neighborhood played together for hours on a beautiful opening day. More >
